November 26th 2025, Ross Energy celebrated something truly special — 30 years of buddyhood.
Back in 1995, two very young Maersk Contractors employees were randomly assigned as “buddies.” What no one knew then was that this simple pairing would spark a partnership that has lasted three decades and shaped an entire company culture.
Those two buddies were Claus Pedersen and Lars Andersen.
In 2008 they founded Ross Energy and still own it together, Claus is still out there on the rigs as Senior Drilling Supervisor — steady, dedicated, and passionate about the craft. Lars is now the CEO of Ross Energy, steering the company with the same teamwork-first mindset that bonded them all those years ago.
At Ross Energy, every employee is assigned a buddy — not just as a formality, but as a real support system. Someone who helps you, backs you up, and grows with you. Just like Claus and Lars have done for 30 years.
